Hampton Inn & Suites New Albany Columbus

We'd definitely stay here again. The hotel was quiet, the room was clean, and the beds were comfortable except for a little metal creaking when getting in or out. Breakfast was good, with a great meat and egg selection for how we eat, which is mostly carnivore-ish. They said some rooms were being remodeled, but over the holiday weekend we neither saw nor heard construction.

The breakfast was amazing, so my wife and I didn't need to go out and buy anything. We were both really happy with our hotel choice and would give the experience 10/10. The clean room was ready after a check-in filled with smiles, joy, and warmth. I was staying as a surprise for our wedding anniversary, and when my wife needed extra towels, they brought them up within three minutes. We appreciated the hospitality and would come back.

The breakfast alone is worth staying for. The cook was amazing, making fresh Belgian waffles, eggs, fried potatoes with smoked sausage or kielbasa, and biscuits with sausage gravy, among other things. It was much more than the usual continental breakfast. The rooms were clean and service was great.

I won't stay here again after the rude, unprofessional way the two front desk employees handled a simple request for laundry quarters. The washer and dryer took quarters, one dollar each, and I was told they had none. When I asked where to get some, they answered sarcastically, as though it wasn't their concern. I searched for 10-15 minutes and found coins myself. Later I asked the same two employees for detergent. They brought it out, I paid with a $10 bill, and when they opened the register I could see plenty of quarters inside. When I asked why they hadn't given me some earlier, they rudely said they weren't obligated to.
