On a quick stop on the way to Florida, I was looking for a hotel in Jacksonville and found Candlewood. There were lots of places to choose from, but this one has never let me down. It’s nice, clean, and the manager and staff are super friendly. I’ll definitely come back when I’m going to Jacksonville. We only stayed one night, but the kitchen would be great for a longer vacation, with a full-size fridge and microwave. Wonderful place.

Michael and Kasey really made this stay memorable. They were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure everything was right. The customer service was outstanding, and it’s rare to find that level of care. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. I’d gladly stay at Candlewood Suites again and recommend it.

We were there for one night. The front desk service was good, and our clean room had a clean bathroom with all the basics and lots of TV channels. I tried the gym, which had very little equipment. The treadmill worked well and had a screen, but I couldn’t find a yoga mat or any other place to stretch afterward.

Kasey at the front desk was the only person who seemed to genuinely care. We’ve stayed at this location about once a month for years, but I won’t return after this visit. We booked ahead, then the day before arrival, general manager paresh changed our king one bedroom suite to a double queen without calling us. The front desk didn’t know about the change. The room was dirty, with a pizza box left in the refrigerator. paresh didn’t call until Saturday afternoon and acted like he didn’t care. He doesn’t deserve to be a general manager.

For about the same cost as a regular hotel room, you get a kitchen and free guest laundry. There’s plenty of parking, and food is within walking distance. The historic district is four miles away. I’m on the road around 270 days a year, and this place had all the things I look for. I enjoyed my stay.
