My fiancé surprised me with two nights here for Valentine's Day and my birthday. We had the deluxe king room, with a jacuzzi tub in the bedroom and a cute little pink-tiled kitchen. It was charming, but for just over $400, I expected better. There were ants on the kitchen counters within minutes of our arrival, while we were putting away groceries. It got worse once we cooked and left dishes in the sink. We killed so many, but they kept coming. Ants were already all over the counters and down in the cracks, so this clearly wasn't new. I also wish they'd cleaned up the deck and hot tub area. The weather was nice, but we didn't want to hang out outside. The chairs and tables were scattered around, and there were pine cones, leaves, and other debris on the ground. Without those issues, it would've been great, but we won't be back.

The hosts handled a check-in mix-up with our digital reservation numbers really well. Our room was cute, cozy, and quiet. After traveling, the two massages we had at the spa were especially welcome. We stayed five days just after the season, when it was perfect to avoid the summer crowds. We plan to return for a full week next year. Five stars plus!

It was our second time there. On the first visit, we had a different room and they responded quickly. This time, I took my wife for her 50th birthday because she loves hot tubs. As we were about to get in, we saw thousands of ants. My wife contacted them and sent photos but got no response. I called it unprofessional to run a place and not reply. We would've enjoyed it if not for that. It's sad to pay and not enjoy your birthday.

I went for my 50th birthday, but the hot tub was full of ants just as I was about to get in. I sent the owner a video and got no reply. I even tried to enjoy the tub with the ants, joking that I was cooking them. Otherwise, it would've been a great place. It's just sad to pay so much and not be able to enjoy it.

This place has potential, but it's got a long way to go. Someone who knows what they're doing could bring it up to standard quickly, but the quick patches aren't working. The property feels run-down, and whoever cleans it seems to do the bare minimum. It's not clean, and it isn't quiet or peaceful either, with lots of traffic noise.
