Metro Points Hotel

My family lost a large venue deposit to one of the hotel’s employees, who took the money and disappeared. The hotel now says it has “no record” of the payment, although its staff accepted it. When I contacted management, including Beth, they took no responsibility and offered no investigation or support, just said there was nothing they could do. We personally know other families who have lost thousands of dollars to similar scams at this hotel. It looks like a pattern, and the lack of accountability is unbelievable. Don’t trust this place with your money, event, or time. Other venues won’t put you through this stress and financial loss.

I was a little nervous because of the reviews, but I’d stay here again and recommend it. The desk staff were kind and helped me work out the city’s public transportation. My room was clean and had what I needed for one night.

The room felt a little dated. I couldn’t tell if the vintage look was intentional or if the furnishings were just old, though everything worked fine. The décor was unexpectedly beautiful. We stayed as a family for Yaum Eid Adha 2025, and had a payment credentials issue at check-in. The gentleman at the desk patiently guided us to a good solution instead of leaving us without a room. Thank you for being so kind and considerate.

A couple of hours after checkout, my debit card was hit with nearly $1,000 in fraudulent online transactions. It wasn’t after I booked online or during my stay, only after checkout. Hmm. They must think we can’t figure out the culprit from that timing. Luckily, my bank disputed the charges, and Visa is providing me with a transcript of names and addresses tied to the transactions.
