Auld Sweet Olive Bed & Breakfast

It felt safe in the surrounding neighborhood, and I liked having the extra reassurance of the locked wrought-iron gate and fence. The B&B was already set back from the sidewalk. The front lawn flowers smelled wonderful, and I could always find street parking right outside. I stayed Monday to Thursday in April and had such a peaceful trip. The rooms were neat and beautiful, and the pool was very clean and well looked after. Breakfast and snacks were great. The breakfast entrées changed every morning and were delicious. Jonell served casseroles on a couple of days, the best breakfast casseroles I’ve ever had, in cute little cast iron pans. There were plenty of buffet sides, plus a communal fridge where we could keep leftovers from our outings. I’d love to stay again, thank you!!!

The staff were incredibly kind and engaging, and the breakfast was delicious, with lots of variety and enough to leave us full. Our room and the shared areas were comfortable and quiet, and the grounds were beautiful and well cared for. We had a lovely stay at Auld Sweet Olive and would happily return next time we’re in New Orleans.

I’ve enjoyed the charm and hospitality at Auld Sweet Olive B&B three times now. Innkeeper Jonell and her staff make you feel like family, and the homemade breakfasts were delicious every morning we stayed. It’s within walking distance of the French Quarter and all the music and food New Orleans has to offer.

The Laura Suite worked so well for my parents, my husband, and me. It was roomy, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. Jonell made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived, and even had a pink birthday cake waiting for me. Such a sweet touch, especially since I love all things pink. We also loved the delicious breakfasts and the chance to chat with the other guests around the table. The whole stay felt warm and memorable. We’d happily return to New Orleans.
