The weather changed our baby shower plans, so we had to move the pool party indoors. The Dew Drop Inn staff handled the switch beautifully, and the food was amazing. I was co-hosting from out of town, and event coordinator Brandon kept on top of every change. His energy, ideas, and planning around the weather made a huge difference. I didn’t stay at the inn, but I can’t say enough good things about the staff or the space. Highly recommend it for events!

Wednesday open mic at the Dew Drop-In is such a fun time. I’m an up-and-coming artist, and my manager brought me and two others there to perform. I even wrote a theme song for the event, and the crowd was incredible. The host and bartenders were great, the food was amazing, and the whole place had a fantastic vibe. It’s iconic and a wonderful place to enjoy yourself. WE GET IT IN At THE DEW DROP INN lol

The tour with owner Curtis Doucette was a real highlight for me. I love history, and hearing about the Dew Drop Inn’s origins with Frank Painia and his family was a gem. It’s easy to imagine legends like Fats Domino, James Brown, Tina Turner, Patsy Vidalia, Ray Charles, and so many others performing under that roof. My family and I came for the Legends of the Dew Drop Inn: Road to Rock & Roll Brunch, hosted and narrated by Tanyell Quian, with songs beautifully performed by James Jordan, Jaudai, and Nicole Washington. The musicians were remarkably talented, and they brought back memories of my dad jamming to all those Rock & Roll legends back in the gap. The food and service were stellar. I loved my time here and will definitely be back.

Lerved eeet! Great venue, and the energy is infectious. But the doorman deserves a special mention. He was so charming and present, and I’m pretty sure handsome too, though that’s beside the point, haha. I wish all doormen were that personable.

We extended our stay because of travel delays, and the good times kept rolling. The staff made us feel like family: AJ gave us a behind-the-scenes experience that felt like opening night backstage, Deja Lynn pointed us in the right direction, and Ms. Renada made sure we had what we needed. The Historic Dew Drop Inn has such a sense of history, you can almost hear the music of Ray Charles, Little Richard, Tina Turner, and the other icons who found respite there. The place is a gem, cozy enough to feel at home but roomy enough to wander around, swim, and enjoy the outdoor terraces. My one regret is missing Big Freedia’s big birthday party next week. It really felt like a home away from home.
