The breakfasts were phenomenal, and we got off to a strong start with shrimp and grits. I visited New Orleans near the end of Mardis Gras festivities and stayed at Elysian Fields Inn, where Michelle and Bob made it feel like a second home. They were warm, welcoming hosts who kept checking whether we needed anything. They also gave us a little guide to the area and told us about activities going on. My only complaint is that I had to check out. I hope to be back at Elysian soon.

Michelle and Bob’s welcome made our New Orleans trip special. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine enjoyment in sharing advice about places to visit, things to do, restaurants, music venues, parades, and events made them the best hosts we could have hoped for. Their homemade breakfasts were delicious too. The house is stunning and authentic, with tasteful decor that made us feel at home right away. We happened to be there during Halloween, and the creepy decorations suited the house perfectly. The location is great, a few steps from Frenchmen Street and a short walk to the French Quarter, with everything we needed nearby. We were genuinely sad to leave and will definitely come back. Highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast for an authentic New Orleans experience.

Michelle and her love of cooking seem to shape every part of Elysian Fields Inn. Her breakfasts were restaurant quality, and if you’re after southern hospitality and down-home cooking, you HAVE to stay here. Our room was spotless, the house is gorgeous, and it’s close to Frenchman St., Bourbon St., public transit, and the best local bar. The owners are accommodating, know the area, and gave us great recommendations. We’ll definitely be back to stay with Michelle/Elysian Fields Inn. In every way, it’s a wonderful place, run by wonderful people, with a top-notch spot and mouthwatering breakfasts!

As a solo woman traveling, I felt safe and well informed here. Michelle gave me helpful tips for walking around the neighborhood at night, and I really appreciated that. This was my first bed-and-breakfast stay, and Elysian Fields Inn was a great experience. The hosts were welcoming, accommodating, and lovely. I also enjoyed meeting friendly people at breakfast and hearing all the different stories about their lives. I felt at home, to say the least. I’d highly recommend Elysian Fields Inn for a trip to NOLA. Do it!

The location really can’t be beat. We walked to the Bywater and Marigny neighborhoods for great food, and the French Quarter was just as close. We had one of the smaller rooms, with a queen bed, but it was still very nice and had everything we needed. The rooms are comfortable and the inn is well appointed. Bob and Michelle were lovely hosts, and their delicious breakfasts were a great way to start the day. Elysian Fields Inn was extremely cozy, and we’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in New Orleans.
