The courtyard was a peaceful spot to unwind after a busy day out, and the historic character of the building added to the stay. Our room was cozy, clean, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location of Inn on St. Peter is hard to beat: right in the French Quarter, walkable to everything but tucked away enough to feel comfortable and relaxed. If you want somewhere authentic to New Orleans that’s also convenient and comfortable, I’d recommend it. I’d gladly stay again.

I travel solo a lot, and this stay was a lovely surprise. I booked because the rate looked good and expected a basic budget room, but it was better than some five-star hotels I've stayed in. The staff were wonderful, everything was very clean, and the location was great. I'd recommend it to women traveling alone, especially for the price.

Being close to Bourbon Street was the one good thing about this place. The room itself was filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned. There was hair on the floor and on the bottom sheets, dust caked on the fans, rust in the bathroom, and stains all over the pullout mattress. A blanket in the drawer smelled like urine. There wasn't a shower curtain and there were hardly any towels. I had to scrub the tub myself, and the bathroom was so disgusting I nearly threw up brushing my teeth. My seven-year-old cried when I made her take a quick shower there. The place is very dated and a complete mess. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who cares about cleanliness.

The location was convenient, with plenty of good places an easy walk away, but the stay wasn't worth what we paid. The room we got wasn't the one shown online, and it had no windows even though the pictures did. On the first night the AC didn't work, so we were stuck in a very hot room. We asked the receptionist to move us, but he refused, saying we had booked for several nights and he couldn't change the reservation. He said maintenance would come in the morning, and the AC was fixed the next day. Then we discovered there were no towels at all, not even the ones we'd used the night before. We called downstairs three times before getting fresh ones. I also found a roach in the shower. The property looks poorly maintained compared with the old photos online. Given the price, I wouldn't choose this motel type of place again. There are better options on Canal Street, like a Hilton or Marriott. This place didn't deserve a 4-plus rating.

The bed was comfortable, and it was easy to walk around the French Quarter from here. But the hotel needs repairs in a lot of places and feels run down. There's no elevator, and the outside metal stairs to the rooms are shaky. Some doorknobs were coming loose, the water pressure was poor, and there wasn't much hot water. With a little care, this could be a great place.
