The location worked perfectly for me. The convention center, WW2 museum, French quarter, and downtown were all within about a 15-minute walk. Parking was around $57/day, which is fine if you know about the cost ahead of time. The place also grew on me after a couple of days, and it stayed nice and quiet. We arrived late in the rain, on what you might call a dark and stormy night. The entryway and lounge felt like the entrance to Disneyland's haunted mansion, with odd artwork and dim lighting. Kind of cool. The rooms are a little tight with two queen beds, but nicely appointed, and the beds were comfortable enough. They were clean, though not spotless. For an older building, the rooms have been remodeled nicely, and all the staff were great to deal with. I’d stay again.

Our group of four on a girls trip stayed in a queen suite, and we’d certainly go back. There was lots of room, comfortable beds, a big bathroom, and an extra sink and counter in the sitting area. The shampoo and conditioner were great, and the lobby was cute. The price was good too. We missed having a full-length mirror, or even a mirror near the other sink. Another spot to do hair and makeup would’ve been helpful.

We stayed once before and thought the room was romantic, perfect for our second anniversary. Five years later, I booked again for our honeymoon, and we were lucky to get the top floor. The view from room 406 was amazing. The room was spotless, the bed made for a great night’s sleep, and the bedside radio was already playing New Orleans jazz softly when we arrived. Such a nice touch. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The man at the desk made check-in and valet easy, and the kind woman at checkout found two shirts we’d left in the room. They both helped make this a stress-free stay at a special place. My wife and I have found where we’ll stay whenever we’re in the city. ⚜️⚜️⚜️

The location was the clear highlight, with everything just a block away, so it was easy to get around. Staff were friendly, and the room itself was nice. But I wouldn’t stay again or recommend it. For the high room rate, the value and service weren’t there, and a typical chain hotel would offer more convenience. We booked through Booking.com, where parking was listed as available, but at check-in we learned it wasn’t included. Valet parking added another $150 to the already expensive stay. There’s no restaurant or bar on site, and if you want alcohol, you have to buy a whole bottle, which is impractical. Cleaning staff were loud in the hallways while we were trying to sleep. Room service only comes every three days, and when we asked for fresh towels, we were told to go downstairs and get them ourselves.

The Pelham has the feel of a private residence right in the heart of the city, and our room was cozy and distinctive. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and upscale. I loved the character, from the historic architecture and high ceilings to the crown molding and boutique decor. A refreshing break from the big corporate hotels, with wonderful hospitality.
