Renaissance New Orleans Pere Marquette French Qtr Area Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay, especially relaxing with cocktails in the bar and lobby while it rained. The location is great, check-in was quick, and Trinette Monnie made us feel like family the whole time. Sarah, the lobby bartender, was fantastic and friendly, and made good drinks. Sam at the restaurant bar was pleasant, easygoing, and helpful, and the spinach dip was great. The rooms were clean but just okay, nothing special, and could use more light, especially in the bathroom. Housekeeping were friendly and accommodating.

The Pere Marquette has so much character. I loved the way the historic landmark's old New Orleans feel is paired with a lively, jazz-inspired modern design. High ceilings and artistic touches make the beautiful rooms feel distinctive. A great mix of Old World New Orleans and contemporary luxury, with real style and soul.

We stayed in an Executive King room, and it was very comfortable. The hotel is a block from Canal Street and about two from Bourbon Street, with great places to eat nearby. We parked once and then walked everywhere. The staff were courteous and helpful whenever we interacted with them, though we didn't need much assistance. From check-in through checkout, the stay was basically perfect. We really enjoyed the trip and are definitely planning to come back.

The Tackle Box restaurant connected to the hotel had excellent food and service, and its staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel staff were excellent too, but the room was a letdown. The AC barely blew and couldn't cool it, the four pillows felt like empty pillowcases, and the mattress was like concrete. The bathtub drain was clogged, so every shower left us standing in a pool of water. The towels and washcloths felt like sandpaper. Valet also charged me for an oversized vehicle, even though I drive a small Ford Bronco Sport. I won't stay here again. The one bright spot was getting engaged to the love of my life during the trip!
