Rodeway Inn & Suites East

Our stay at Relax Inn for Mardi Gras, Feb. 13-16, was stressful, dirty, and uncomfortable. On arrival, the toilet in our first room didn't work and the door had no top latch, so we packed everything back up and asked to move. They said there were no other rooms, but eventually gave us one. The TV in that room didn't work either. That night, our room flooded while we were out, soaking a lot of our belongings. At first the staff offered no help or accountability and asked what we'd done to cause it. They eventually admitted a pipe had burst in the room behind ours, which had a Jacuzzi. At checkout, we couldn't even tell who was in charge. Kevin said one man was the manager, then the other man said Kevin wasn't and that he was the owner. The service was poor, and they kept lying when we asked for help and information during arrival, the stay, and departure. My sister and I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The hotel was quiet, and the security was great. I also liked the room renovations. Great place.

The stove was broken, and there were exposed wires and dirty filters left behind. The floors and walls were dirty, we only had two towels, and the lighting was awful. The beds weren't the queen size they were supposed to be, and the couch was more comfortable than them.

We only stayed one night, but I slept so well that I woke up without any back pain for the first time in ages. The bed was awesome. The room had plenty of space, and it was quiet, tucked away from the road. Everyone was friendly too. If I'm ever back in New Orleans, this is where I'd stay. I'd definitely recommend it.
