Having my own balcony made it feel like the NEW ORLEANS EXPERIENCE. The hotel has great character and flair that fit the spirit of New Orleans, and they even gave us two drink tokens for the awesome R bar downstairs. One of the best hotel stays I’ve had.

I came by because of the place’s role in NCIS New Orleans. The outside looks just like it does on TV, though the interior is different. What you see inside on the show was a sound-stage set built in Elmwood. It has a friendly feel, the drinks are good and fairly priced, and it gets busy with people coming and going. A nice spot for conversation and people-watching. It’s dog-friendly too. I recommend it!

We stayed for the first weekend of Mardi Gras in 2026, and the room was amazing. The beds and high quality pillows were comfortable, and every room had a Sonos sound system. The staff impressed us just as much, they were so friendly and held our bags on our last day. The bar is excellent, and the hotel sits just off the main drag while still being an easy walk to good food, bars, and parades. 10 out of 10.

We stayed for a month next door to the R Bar, and it soon felt like our local spot. Chris, Heather, Margaret and Jess made us feel at home in no time. Try the Agave Garden, Mezcal Pimms and Heather’s other creations. We’ll be back, and next time we’ll get a haircut too.

This is a good place to get away from all the hullabaloo, and dogs are welcome on the patio. I never have a bad time when I stumble in. I usually end up meeting someone from Chicago, or definitely someone friendly from New Orleans.
