The thin walls were the one drawback. We were next to a crying child, though at least it wasn't a group of very drunk people. The location is right off bourbon if that's what you're after, but the place itself felt quiet and safe. The room was spotless, the bed unbelievably comfortable, and we think our queen booking may have been upgraded to a king. It's an old, cool property, yet one of the cleanest places we've stayed. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful. There were complimentary water bottles and snacks in the common area, including biscotti, clementines, and little donut holes. This was easily our best hotel stay ever, and it exceeded what we'd expected. I'd absolutely recommend it.

We only had a short stay at Olivier, but the friendly, accommodating staff made us feel very welcome as Canadians. The cats are all sweet and add to the cozy atmosphere. I loved how the gorgeous common spaces are used. It's the coolest, most unusual hotel I've been to. If vintage style and southern hospitality are your thing, book a room. Much love y'all ❤️

The cats give the place a homey feel you don't find in a typical hotel, and Magnolia stole my heart. We wanted old-world charm instead of luxury, and Olivier House delivered. It felt like stepping back in time, in the best way, and I'd stay again just for that experience. We were in Room 105, a quaint, nostalgic space with lots of character. It's not modern or updated, and there are vintage quirks, including a few lingering odors and older furnishings. If you want sleek and fancy, this probably isn't the place for you, but we loved its personality. You can walk to everything around Bourbon Street, then return to a spot that's far enough away to unwind and relax. That balance is hard to find.

I've stayed here twice now, and it's the best hotel I've found in New Orleans so far. A cool little place where every room is different. Everyone is super nice, and the morning coffee bar is a big plus.

The location puts you right in the Quarter, with Royal St art galleries just beyond and Jackson Square a few blocks away. Bourbon's chaos is close, but not right outside. There are endless choices for food, drinks, shopping, and more. The rate was higher for Jazzfest, but felt fair for the market and totally worth it. We had the loft single King balcony overlooking the street. We're night people, so the street noise didn't bother us. The walls were solid and thick, and fans on both sides of the bed plus a sound machine were there too. Courtyard rooms would probably be quieter. The staff were incredible, and the cats always made my day. Francis went above and beyond with recommendations, helping us out, and keeping us entertained. This is my favorite hotel experience anywhere in the world. The New Orleans feel is just right, and everything is distinctive, with thoughtful, creative touches throughout. I don't think there's a single piece of particle board furniture in the building. There's more I'd say, but that would spoil the surprises. Olivier House Hotel will always feel like home in New Orleans. I can't recommend it enough.
