Days Inn by Wyndham New Philadelphia

We couldn’t even get the door open at first because the handle didn’t work. Once inside, the place smelled of smoke, and there were bugs, spiders, and other critters on the floor and walls. The shower and toilet were very dirty, and the sink water barely trickled out. We stayed one night, and it was disgusting. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The rooms are old and need remodeling, and it’s a cheap motel, so you get what you pay for. Still, the young woman and man at the front desk went out of their way to help my husband and me. They treated us like family, and that’s why I’d stay here again. I’m grateful for their hospitality.

I had a good stay at Days Inn on Bluebell Drive in New Philadelphia, Ohio. The room stayed cool, there was hot water in the shower, and I got fresh towels every day. The staff were friendly, and the place felt clean and safe. I noticed people walking dogs, but never heard them from inside my room. If I go to Alive Festival again, about twenty minutes away at Atwood Lake, I’ll be glad to stay here.

I couldn’t stay. The first room looked like somebody was living in it, with garbage on the nightstand and towels left in the shower. The second room was just as bad, with mold in the shower and dirty bed linens. Both rooms smelled of smoke and mildew and were so dirty. I told the front desk I couldn’t stay, but getting my money back meant calling corporate and being given the runaround. They refused a refund because the person behind the counter claimed I had stayed the night. I can guarantee I won’t come back. I can’t believe the health department lets this place remain open, and I’ll be reporting it.
