Errol by the Sea 401 Apartment 2

Our two bedroom condo was on the south side, with amazing views down the beach. The week before Memorial Day was really quiet, just what we wanted, and it was our first visit to New Smyrna Beach. Getting from the condo to the beach was easy. The complex looks like it dates from the 60s or 70s, but it’s very well kept, and the pools were spotless. They keep ambient light low to protect sea turtles, so the stars from the balcony were amazing too.

We spent the day on a very clean beach with plenty of room to throw a football or frisbee, relax, or catch a wave. The condo has stairs down to the sand and a rinse station to wash it off afterward. There are two pools and a nice table and sunbathing area, and you can get out to the water almost right from the condo. We also saw dolphins, pelicans, and tropical fish. It’s a fun little spot with lots of food and attractions nearby. You won’t regret staying here.

New Smyrna is a lovely city with great beaches, and this place is well located for visiting other Florida cities. Our rooms were very clean and each had a great ocean view. We also had white sand, direct ocean access, and two pools. I’d recommend it as a place to rent or buy.

Since the new manager took over, a stay that used to feel welcoming has turned into a hassle and headache. The manager patrols the pool deck like a tyrant. The elevators are old and the facilities dated, which feels outrageous given the prices. New Smyrna is beautiful, but there are plenty of other places to spend your money. I don’t recommend staying here.
