Hotel Sunisands

We had a large, clean, nice two-bedroom unit with three connected balconies, and getting to the beach was easy. The resort is small, so the pool didn't get much traffic. It was really nice, warm, big, and easy to reach. A few things could've been better. The AC needed work, since we had to make it colder at night so the room wouldn't get hot during the day. We like it at 70. It was hard to reach anyone for extra trash bags and other basic things, and there's no elevator, though I'm not sure one could even be installed. The washer and dryer were a little expensive and didn't work that well. Still, I'd 100% recommend this resort to friends, family, or anyone looking for a nice getaway.

It’s a small, very private resort with just seven units, and I’ve been coming here for nearly 30 years as an owner of five unit weeks. I’m also one of the three Board members, and we take a lot of pride in the place. After a lot of problems, the BOD brought in a new manager in March 2019, and things have kept improving since. If it’s been a while since you visited Sunisands, come see the upgrades. If you’ve never stayed here, give it a try. I’m sure you’ll love it.

It’s a quiet stretch of beach, about a mile from the Flagler Ave strip and its bars and restaurants. All seven units have balconies facing the ocean, with the pool and Jacuzzi right below and the water beyond. The rooms are bright, with new furniture and decor. The first-floor unit is spacious, though you see through a fence; the second and third floors have great views. Just know there’s no elevator. I do wonder about Nicole’s one-star review when the others are mostly four and five stars, but then I noticed nearly all of her reviews are one or two stars.
