We love renting here because my grandfather Harry, a NY snowbird, spent many years at sunrise with his wife before he passed. We’ve made lots of wonderful memories here. The pool is always great, and we love the view.

Katherine Setzer, the old Property Manager, was the best part of Sunrise Condo. She was so kind, always smiling, and everyone loved her. After the “board members” changed, things became very unprofessional. They expected full-time work while offering only 15 hours. The board members were rude and acted like one year was enough time for them to ruin everything and drive the workers away. Most owners were nice, though a few weren’t.

After more than 30 years as loyal customers, we expected the problems in our 3 bedroom condo to be handled. This had always been a family favorite until this past summer, and sadly, we won’t return on our next Florida vacation. They had promised a hide-a-way bed in the living room for extra sleeping space, but it wasn’t there. An office agent offered her own blow-up bed and brought it the next day, but it started losing air as soon as it was inflated, so my daughter slept on the floor for two weeks. We were also told there’d be an extra twin bed. It was in the unit, but covered in mold. They removed it the next day and never replaced it during our stay. The coffee maker was broken too, but they did replace that the day after we told them. After the trip, my mom and dad both emailed the managers with our concerns. Nearly six months later, there’s been no apology or compensation. Management ignored our requests instead of offering a sincere apology and maybe some compensation. Very sad.

The condos were outdated, the pool looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, and the beach ramp was closed. The construction dragged on with no end in sight. Stairs were being replaced, leaving the elevators as the only way up or down from the beach. Workers had demolished the stairs and left them unblocked until someone asked them to fix it. A child could have fallen in, which could have been CATASTROPHIC. The balconies were being replaced too. After we mailed the $300 deposit, the manager said we could use ours, but when we arrived it was locked. The property manager then said we could use the balconies after inspection, but that never happened. We called near the end of our stay to ask for a partial refund, since we couldn’t use the balcony, and were told “the construction wasn’t their fault or problem.” Management was VERY rude. There were fences everywhere, and we heard it “used to be better” and had “gone downhill due to management.” This place is a HOLE. We won’t be back. Put your money somewhere else. I can’t say a single good thing about Sunrise Condominiums.
