Alden Hotel

We had to switch rooms twice because the sheets were filthy, with stains, boot prints, and what looked like blood. The cleaning crew needs to make sure the sheets are washed and changed after each guest checks out. We also waited almost 45 minutes for someone at the front desk to come back. After flying in and feeling tired, that made for a very bad experience.

I picked this hotel as an affordable place to stay before moving into my new home nearby. The accommodation was great, and the room was clean and serviced. Nobody bothered me during my two weeks there. The guys at the front desk were remarkable and seriously helpful professionals. Highly recommend, and thanks to them.

For the price and location, I wasn't expecting five-star service, but the room should at least be clean. It was somewhat clean overall, but the comforter was soiled with what looked like blood. The guy at the front desk brought up sheets, said there wasn't another comforter, then hung up on me. Parking was okay, but I was blocked in when it was time to leave and had to wait.

The room wasn't clean: there was hair in the bathtub and a blood stain on the pillow. The air conditioning wouldn't blow hot air, and the only microwave in the hotel was so small it couldn't warm my food in seven minutes. I ate it cold because I didn't want to go back downstairs. There's no parking, and I was charged $60 for early check-in that same day. The receptionist was so uptight that conversation felt forced. This is the worst hotel I've stayed in, in or outside this country. I'd give it a negative rating if I could. I wish I could share photos or videos. People giving it good ratings must be staff or their family or friends. I'd rather sleep in my car than come back.
