Aloft by Marriott Manhattan Downtown - Financial District

We come here quarterly and are grateful for a team that remembers us and makes sure our service dog is comfortable. The staff are wonderful. Special thanks to Lizbeth, the housekeeping manager, and her team for always preparing my room feather-free and doing such a good job. This visit, getting a luggage cart was a bit of a struggle. I’d ask the GM and site owner to make carts available to guests, since that small improvement would make the experience easier. Thanks to the whole team. Many thanks, Jason.

I’ve lived in New York for five years, and I’d still recommend this hotel to someone visiting the city. It’s affordable, clean, comfortable, and the staff made me feel like royalty. Anna and Jose were especially kind and helpful when I was leaving. There’s good coffee available around the clock. The area is being renovated, but the hotel does a good job of keeping that from bothering guests. The room was the usual Aloft style and, in my opinion, best for one or two people. I booked a king room at short notice; it was neat, clean, fairly quiet, and the other guests were courteous. The doors are heavy and a little slanted, so they can take two hands to open or close. Still, I’ve never felt safer, almost like sleeping in a bank vault. I’d stay again. Great job BON VOY + ALOFT + MARRIOTT ⭐️

The room wasn’t ready when I tried to check in two hours early, which I understand. They kept my bag, but sent me to a cramped, dirty basement bathroom with grimy stalls and broken door locks. Both elevators also need work. Then I found the bathroom in my room dirty, with a pubic hair on the toilet seat and stains on the walls. The bottom sheet was ripped and left the bottom 10 inches of the mattress uncovered. I called, and staff brought up fresh sheets.

Valiesha was so kind and understanding when we needed an early check-in, and she offered us a late checkout too. The staff were really helpful throughout my first stay at Aloft in Manhattan. I recommend it for its location near the Brooklyn Bridge. Our two-king room was surprisingly spacious. You can hear other guests through the wall, though it probably won’t be too bad unless they’re being loud on purpose. Aside from that, we had a wonderful stay.
