Astoria Delancy Inn and Suites

The view of New York from my room was breathtaking, and the neighborhood felt safe. My debit card gave me trouble, but the staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean, and the employees were extremely professional. I was very impressed with the outstanding service on September 8. I’ll definitely return on my next visit, and I hope the employee who helped me gets promoted. He deserves it.

The staff were friendly whenever I spoke with them and answered all my questions. I stayed for 10 days in a superior queen room, which was cozy, and the bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping came in every day. I was on the third floor. Although my room wasn’t one of the designated rooms with a view, I could still see Manhattan from the window, which made me happy. Shops and a laundromat were just around the corner, and the walk to one of the two subway stations took about 10 minutes. It was easy enough, with no issues. I’m really glad I stayed here and would absolutely return.

We were very disappointed by how the hotel handled the $100 fee. I was told the money would be returned after we left, but three weeks later it still hadn’t been sent back. The neighborhood also has car wrecks and garages everywhere, including wrecked cars on the sidewalks. Our room itself was clean and okay, but the walls were so thin we could hear people in the next room whispering. There was a huge gap between the doors and their frames, with no seal, so we heard everything happening in the corridor.

We booked through Booking just a few days ahead and stayed for two nights. The view was magnificent, and as it was our first time in NYC, it was our first real glimpse of Manhattan. The room was clean and quiet, with a cozy bed. Service was kind, though the staff seemed a little sleepy and focused on themselves at times :) It’s a reasonable spot for people coming from JFK who want to see Manhattan or Brooklyn.
