Aura Hotel Times Square

The location made getting around New York easy. Times Square and Broadway are close, and we used the nearby subway to reach Central Park, Queens, Brooklyn, Governor’s Island, and the financial district. My husband and I felt welcome from the staff, and they gladly gave us the drinks vouchers for next door when we asked at check-in. Our deluxe king room had enough space, though hanging room for clothes was limited, much like other big-city hotels. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water, and the bed was VERY comfortable, even for someone as fussy as me. We got great value and would stay again.

We were able to walk to restaurants, yoga, shopping, and our Broadway show. The room faced the street and gave us a little view of the theatre across from us. It was bigger than I expected for NYC, especially at a price this good so close to Times Square. Staff gave us a warm welcome, and housekeeping came every day. The room seemed very clean. Bringing a sound machine helped cover some of the usual city noise.

Carlos was kind enough to chat with us while we waited for our taxi, then helped sort out a transportation problem. The staff really stay on top of things. We had a magical time in New York and hope to return to the hotel next time we're around. Housekeeping was great, and the woman who cleaned our room was so kind. I carry my pillow everywhere, but these beds and pillows were the most comfortable ever! The hotel is near everything. Greetings from Argentina!

Please keep a close eye on your belongings if you stay here. My partner and I were traveling, and I had brought just one bottle of face wash because a skin allergy means I can't wash my face without it. When I realized I'd left it at the hotel, I called and was only given a number. I tried calling again afterward, but nobody picked up. It wasn't valuable, but losing it caused me a lot of trouble for the rest of the trip. The service was absolutely terrible.
