The concierges make this building feel like a community. They know residents by name, let you know when packages arrive, and remind you about things like filling out a form or emptying your mailbox. I’ve lived here almost 3 years, and the location is great. Everything works as expected; I use the gym regularly, and the laundry and drying room are reliable. Special shoutout to Ernesto. I often see him on weekends and enjoy chatting with him in Spanish, my native language. He keeps me informed and helps with small things, like when my fob doesn’t work or I’ve forgotten it and need to get into the gym. That extra help makes day-to-day life easier.

I’d say do your homework before renting, read the lease carefully, inspect the apartment, and walk through the whole building, including the laundry room. I rented this unit sight unseen on the website because there weren’t any available to show. I relied on reviews, and they weren’t accurate. The apartments are rundown and should have been renovated years ago for the price per square foot. I moved in without ever meeting an agent, and no one followed up about how the move went or how things were going. I had to do my own paint touch-ups and bring in a cleaning service for a deep clean. Check carefully, since the units aren’t painted after each tenant vacates. I’m glad I only signed a one year lease.

I’ve lived at Longacre House Apartments since 2021, and the office, concierge, and service team have always been friendly, kind, and very helpful with whatever I need. Michael, Michelle, and Ernesto at the concierge desk deserve special thanks for being there for my day-to-day needs and handling them with such warmth and professionalism. They really make the building feel like home.

The apartments are lovely and the building is in a great location. The staff are friendly, but Michelle at the front desk has especially stood out to me over nearly 15 years of knowing her. I don’t live in the building, yet every interaction has been a delight. She’s warm and welcoming, and remembers little details that make each visit feel special. She handles keys, simple questions, and package deliveries with a smile and a positive attitude. Michelle sets a wonderful example of service. I wish other front desk staff, doormen, and building teams around New York would take a page from her book. Her care for residents and visitors is inspiring.
