Flower shops line the street outside, and all night I could hear loud loading and moving noises. If you're a light sleeper, getting a good night's rest may be hard. The room itself had no view, though the rooftop was nice. The hotel is well placed, reasonably priced, and staffed by friendly people. I saw a review saying rooms weren't available until 6 p.m., but I was lucky to get mine at 2 p.m. Max at reception was very nice. They offer complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the morning, though I didn't care for the coffee.

The room was roomy and modern, and most of the staff were friendly. Getting there worked out well too: we took the Q70, changed to the subway, then walked a little. The hotel is near subway stations and some main attractions. The location mattered most to me since we didn't spend much time in the room, and I'd put the stay around 3.7. The beds felt stiff and lumpy, and the TVs didn't work. Housekeeping skipped my room, so I went downstairs to ask about it. I was told rooms are cleaned automatically unless the DND sign is out. Mine wasn't, but the room still hadn't been done. They did clean it that night. Security at night was okay.

The location was great, and I loved watching sunrise and sunset from the rooftop. My room on the 18th floor also had a view I really enjoyed. They provide free water, and you can refill bottles at the fountain in the gym. Staff were nice throughout. When my power bank wouldn't charge in the room, someone charged it overnight for me, and they also lent me an EU-to-US adapter. There is a $100 security hold at check-in. I stayed six nights in January in a King room. It was spacious, comfortable, and heated well, with hot water working properly. The shower was nice, though it didn't have a handheld hose and head. The bathroom, on the other hand, was extremely cramped. Even though I'm skinny, closing the door was incredibly difficult because there was hardly any space between it and the toilet. The room could use renovation. The furniture was old and worn, the toilet seat looked very used, and the towels were also very old and should be replaced. I wish there had been more attention to detail. The plugs, including the USB ports, weren't fast charging. If the hotel is renovated, I'll definitely stay again.

Our 2 Queen Beds room had more space than I expected, even with large suitcases, and felt comfortable and well thought out. The bathroom was a bit small and took some maneuvering, though that was a minor drawback. The hotel's in a fantastic spot for walking around New York, with several subway stations close by. The team were wonderful, especially Chelsea at the front desk. She was kind, helpful with our requests, and made us feel welcome. We had a great stay at the Cambria Hotel New York – Chelsea, and I'd definitely recommend it.

The rooftop was beautiful and gave us a nice place to unwind. We thought a bonfire or firepit in the colder months would make it even better. Our group of three had a double queen room that suited us perfectly, with very comfortable beds, a clean, well laid out space, and an easy, stress free stay. Getting around was convenient, with multiple subway stations nearby and Ubers easy to access. Chelsea and Kevin were especially kind, professional, and accommodating. They made things seamless from start to finish. A special thank you as well to the front desk agent working the morning of 12/22. Please advise his name. He was welcoming and very helpful, and really set a positive tone for the day. We had an excellent stay at the Cambria NYC Chelsea Hotel, and would love to come back. Highly recommend it for anyone staying in NYC.
