Club Quarters Hotel, Grand Central

The team helped make my wife’s birthday surprise unforgettable. While we were out for the evening, Janet, Terrance, and Ben decorated our room as a favor. We didn’t pay for it, but the banners were hung perfectly, they inflated the balloons themselves, and it all looked professionally done. I’m genuinely grateful for the effort they made. That kind of care is what makes one hotel stand out from another. Club Quarters Grand Central was very nice, but the customer service was the real highlight, some of the best I’ve experienced. Everyone was accommodating and attentive, especially Janet, Terrance, and Ben. We’ll definitely be back.

I’ve stayed here four times now and would choose it again on my next visit. It’s good value, with a great spot near Grand Central, so getting around on subways and trains is easy. The LIRR connects conveniently to JFK, and the 7 train goes to La Guardia. The rooms and staff were great, and I loved the rooftop lounge and enclosed patio. There are good restaurants and shops on Third Avenue, too. I checked in online in the morning and got my room number before arriving, which made using the kiosk easy. When I wanted to extend my stay, the staff helped me arrange it.

It’s been a week since I checked out of Club Quarters, where I checked in on January 22. I want to recognize Eli, Mark, Yoslyn, and a young man from the laundry department whose name I unfortunately don’t remember. He’s from Jamaica. They were professional, courteous, and very helpful throughout my stay.

The rooftop terrace lounge is awesome, with city views and tons of space, and water stations on every floor are convenient. Friendly staff make this a dependable base, and it’s good value. The location can’t be beat. The rooms are classic NYC, compact but clean and well maintained, and the beds are comfy. The tiny gym gets the job done. It’s a solid Midtown pick, with no-frills luxury, though the elevators are slow as hell and a pain when you’re in a rush to head out or get back to your room.
