I don't usually leave reviews, but as a solo traveler I was really comfortable here. The residential neighborhood was quiet, which suited me, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Service was good too. The subway is a nine-minute walk and connects to all parts of the city. Breakfast is simple, but handy if you like a light start to the day. If you want to experience NY like a local, I'd suggest staying here.

The manager's answer to raising problems was essentially that I should leave, instead of trying to fix anything. That says a lot about the place. My Diamond membership got no recognition or courtesy, and it felt meaningless here. I'm sorry a hotel like this is associated with Wyndham, because it doesn't represent what I think that name should stand for. I won't return and can't recommend it. From check-in, I felt guest satisfaction came second to taking my money. Staff were dismissive and unhelpful, and most couldn't speak English, which made it very hard to explain concerns. Even when I got a point across, nobody seemed willing to act. The breakfast was a joke for the premium price, and despite paying for the room in full ahead of time, I was still called and harassed to come downstairs to pay. It was disorganized, unprofessional, and disrespectful of my time. Save yourself the frustration and book somewhere that values its guests.

Breakfast was a real plus during my stay from October 23rd to November 1st, 2025. It was basic, but very good quality, and I appreciated having it since many hotels in New York don't offer breakfast. The staff and service were excellent throughout my eight nights. The room was cozy, the premises impeccably clean, and there was an excellent supply of hot water. With all of that, this is now my first choice to consider for future trips to New York. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

That was the most stressful night of my life. The room was about the size of a toy car, and the loud AC sounded as if it had never been repaired. Our beds were too high, and being next to reception meant we could hear everything. The tiny bathroom was dirty on the floor, the soap was nearly gone, and there were bits of wood in the shower, which had a silicon floor. Water barely came from either the shower or sink, so washing was a struggle. The TV remotes were useless for anything except channels, even though apps were installed on the TVs. I definitely wouldn't recommend this for families staying more than one night. Room size, AC, and bathroom cleanliness were all problems. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

The location was convenient, breakfast was free, and the staff were friendly. The cost seemed reasonable until an expensive parking ticket wiped out that benefit. Despite Google showing parking, there was none available. With snow piled everywhere, most guests parked on the wide sidewalk across the way, leaving room for pedestrians, but NYC parking still gave them what I felt were unfair, incorrect tickets. That was made worse by the weather and NYC Sanitation not clearing the snow or picking up garbage properly. There wasn't an easy place to sit in the room, and there was no microwave. At the front entrance, the door stayed open in freezing weather, with people smoking pot right as you came in. My 88-year-old father and I had to go down steep, slippery steps because the ADA elevator wasn't working properly for easy use. We had to ask the manager to operate it, and even then it was a challenge.
