That green carpet running along the second floor was the first thing I noticed, and I was glad my room was up there. The place is so cute, it almost feels like a little village. My bedroom and the bathroom were both very nice, especially the glass mirrors by the headboard. The bathroom has only a shower stall, but there’s a handy place to set the soap. I hope I can stay here again.

Bro, the room I ended up in wasn’t even clean. There was hair on the bed and no hot water. I’d booked online for $125.25, and four minutes later, when I got there with the confirmation, the guy at the desk said it wasn’t showing on his screen. He was new, it was 10 PM, and he couldn’t reach his boss. I had to pay $120 cash for a queen room on the spot. If you know your worth, don’t come here.

For six hours or less, the total came to $132.00 after taxes and processing fees on a $120.00 charge. It wasn’t worth that at all. The place is tiny, old, and seems like nothing gets fixed. It’s a run-down motel dressed up with a fancy name, more of a roach motel. I’d never send anyone there, even if they begged me to. Lesson learned.

The room itself was really nice, and after using the jacuzzi tub about 7-8 times, I felt I got my money’s worth. My body and feet loved that part. But after a rainy day in the city, we called ahead to check the price and availability, then arrived 30 minutes later from Staten Island ferry to find a completely different, higher price. Their credit card system was down, so we had to pay cash, with no compensation or break. Also, there were way too many mirrors. It looked like a handicapped honeymoon suite.

The front desk person was decent and let me check out late, and you can walk to a store, which is the only real benefit. The room itself was terrible: tiny, with very few TV channels and a blurry picture. The AC was broken and started acting up. It was way overpriced, should be $45 plus tax.
