Habitat 101

I live on the lower level, and we had flooding during hurricane Ida. The owner won't take responsibility, and management has been the worst. They only seem to care about money. I'm still trying to get my floor replaced, on top of all the personal losses and stress. There's mold downstairs, and the pipes don't work properly. I've had water come back up through the shower pipe many times. If you're spending money on a place to stay, go somewhere else and don't rent from this company.

I've been staying at Habitat for six months, and I usually don't leave reviews, especially positive ones, but this place is amazing. The loft has that classic NYC look you see in movies. It's super clean, and management is great. I'm on the first floor and never hear the neighbors or Brooklyn's busy streets. 10/10, would highly recommend. Hope this helps!

Bed bugs. After just a few days, I woke up covered in bites and had to leave for a hotel. I photographed the marks on the bedding, but the owner refused to take responsibility and accused me of inventing the problem to get a refund, even though I'd stayed for only a quarter of the scheduled time. A doctor confirmed the bites. I spent thousands treating my belongings and finding another place to stay. Save your money and look elsewhere. It wasn't worth the nightmare.

You can hear every little sound from the apartments upstairs because there's no insulation. People walk back and forth over your head all day and night. What an unbelievable ripoff.
