Quinn had a lively feel without getting chaotic, and it worked just as well for a casual evening as it would for a celebration with friends. The room had a welcoming mix of modern style and comfort, with thoughtful details throughout. The food was a highlight. Dishes were full of flavor and nicely presented, with creative versions of familiar favorites as well as some surprises. The cocktails were carefully mixed and looked great too. Staff were attentive, friendly, and professional, from helping us choose a drink to making sure the meal was right. It’s a memorable spot in the heart of New York City. I’m looking forward to going back.

You can leave your luggage here after checkout, and Dennis at the front desk was really nice. I’d stay again, especially with good restaurants right downstairs. Magnolia 57 is awesome for lunch. The spot at 57th and 6th Ave is convenient for Central Park and shopping, although 5th Ave gets very crowded. The hotel’s been renovated. Rooms facing inward can be small, while the street-facing ones should be brighter and larger. Ours had bottled water, USB charging ports, a fridge where I accidentally left my chicken, and a coffee maker. Rooms are small, but that’s expected in Manhattan. The lobby is on the small side, and there’s a gym but no pool or many other facilities. Owners of some rooms and the penthouse on higher floors are often around too.

The pillows were softer than I like, but the bed itself was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. After some exhausting days, that was exactly what we needed. The room was clean, and check-in and checkout were easy. Staff were friendly, and I have no complaints.

On Wednesday evening, November 19th, I was waiting in the lobby with a few colleagues for another colleague to come down from her room before we went to a show at Carnegie Hall. We were talking quietly, which I understood to be within my rights as a paying guest. Then an unidentified man in a black jacket glared at us and began shouting questions about whether we were staying there and what our room number was. He had no name tag and never introduced himself. He repeatedly interrupted me, demanded my full name to check the system, and made a scene in the lobby. I’ve never felt less welcome in a hotel public space. It felt like a violation of my security as a woman and a huge disrespect to a paying guest. If staff need to check whether people are with a guest, they should wear name tags and ask calmly and discreetly, perhaps inviting them to the front desk to verify their details with the concierge. I don’t know if that man was the doorman or security, but I’m unlikely to stay here again because of him.

The one problem was an alarm clock left on by someone before us. It went off at 6am after we’d had a late night, so check it when you arrive. Otherwise, no complaints. The room had great AC, though there was only one sitting area and no desk. It was spotless, with a great bathroom and good water temperature and pressure. The staff were amazing. They arranged a car service to the airport for us at a flat rate and handled everything. The bellhops got all seven of our bags, including a large ski bag, to our room and then to the car service quickly and with a great attitude. The location was five stars too, two streets from Central Park and right beside the 57th St subway station.
