During a work trip to New York, I suddenly needed another place to stay because of issues with my accommodation. Hotel 99 helped straight away by showing me the rooms and making booking very easy. My plans later changed and I had to cancel, but they stayed understanding, professional, and kind throughout. I especially appreciated Ignacio’s help and the hotel’s flexibility and customer service. I’d recommend contacting them directly if you need anything. They were always willing to help, and I’d reach out again if I return to New York.

Having a kitchen in the room made this a great choice for my month-long research stay at Columbia University. The room was clean, modern, and pleasant, and the service was very attentive. It’s about a 20-minute walk from Columbia University and also well connected by subway. I’d definitely stay here again.

The ongoing radiator problem made this stay extremely stressful. Since March, it kept making loud noises, spraying water, and heating up again and again, including overnight and early in the morning. It disrupted my sleep and daily routine, and the issue was never properly fixed. For the price, this was absolutely unacceptable. A room at this rate should offer basic comfort and peace. Housekeeping also wasn’t satisfactory, and the stay fell short of normal standards for comfort, maintenance, and service. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless these problems are fully resolved.

This is one of the worst places to stay in NY. As a frequent traveler, I can say that everything I read about it on the booking site was wrong. There’s no breakfast or gym, and not even a basic coffee machine that works. It feels more like a hostel dorm.

What stood out most was how much the staff seemed to care about guests. They checked in on me, offered local suggestions, and asked how things were going. That kind of attention really added to the experience. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with all the comforts I could ask for, and the hotel was kept clean and welcoming. From the moment I entered the lobby, the atmosphere felt warm and friendly. The staff were pleasant, attentive, and ready to help with requests throughout my stay. It was a peaceful, home-away-from-home kind of place.
