Hotel Le Jolie

The staff were really friendly, and the location in Williamsburg felt safe to walk around. Everything was about a 15-minute walk away. They have free parking, but it's first come, first served, with maybe 10-12 spaces. We had no trouble checking in on Friday afternoon. Our twin room was spacious enough for two and had a mini fridge. Coffee and tea were available all day, and the little water bottles were much appreciated. We faced the highway, though, so traffic and passing cars were noisy. Earplugs would help if you're a light sleeper. I'd stay here again.

The staff were warm and always said hello when I passed by, and the room stayed wonderfully quiet thanks to the double windows. I also loved the automatic blackout shades. It was spacious for New York, clean, and comfortable, and the hotel was convenient for visiting my children who live nearby. Several restaurants were only a short walk away. I was upgraded on arrival to a king room with a city view. The breakfast area was being remodeled, but complimentary coffee was still available and tasted quite good. I'll definitely stay here on future visits.

The room was small, but the space was used well, and the free car park was too. The bed was very comfortable. Toiletries were high quality, the shower was great, and everything was clean and functional. Breakfast was self-serve continental, with a good selection of tasty food and drinks. We got lucky with a quiet room on the city-view side. Ask for that side if traffic noise bothers you. The location is super, and the staff were friendly and professional. The only real drawback for a couple is the lack of privacy when using the bathroom. For someone staying alone, I don't think you could do better.

For the quality, the price was good. The hotel was very clean, with a comfortable bed, a small fridge, and a good blackout curtain. The bathroom was thoughtfully laid out and worked well, and the staff helped when we needed them. Bottled drinking water was unlimited, though it's not really needed in New York. The rooms are tiny by NYC standards, but this one worked well. It's right beside the Interstate, yet the road noise was surprisingly not a problem. There's also a wonderful Peruvian restaurant next door that has a Michelin star.
