I'd stayed at Hudson Yards Hotel earlier this year and had a genuinely positive experience, which is why I booked again. This time, through Agoda, I accidentally chose the wrong travel month. I know that was my mistake. I contacted the hotel right away to ask to change the dates, and offered to take a different room type and pay any price difference. When that wasn't possible, I asked respectfully whether they might consider a partial refund or credit for a future stay as a goodwill exception. I tried several times to sort it out through Agoda and directly with the hotel, but there was no meaningful flexibility or effort to help. Replies were minimal or nonexistent, and no reasonable solution was offered. I understand policies exist, but this left me feeling they put policy ahead of customer care. It made me feel returning guests aren't valued when unexpected problems come up. I rarely write negative reviews, but wanted to share this so other travelers can make informed decisions. Future guests should double-check booking details carefully, since there seems to be little or no flexibility even in honest, reasonable situations. After this experience, I can't say I'd choose to stay again, which is disappointing after my previous good visit.

The staff were friendly and kept our luggage while we waited for the room, so we could go explore. The location was great, an easy walk to time square and the theater, which was our main reason for the trip. The beds were comfy and the bathroom very nice. The TV wouldn't connect to anything and didn't work, and the AC barely cooled the room, only reaching 76 degrees even though it was set much lower. For the price, it was good for what it was. We didn't spend much time in the room but enjoyed it. I'd stay again if the AC were fixed or improved.

The manager refused to give me a refund, even though the room was filthy. There were roaches inside, which was disgusting and completely unacceptable. The floors were dusty as if they hadn't been cleaned in days, and the tables and other surfaces clearly hadn't been wiped down. It looked like housekeeping hadn't properly cleaned or checked the room before assigning it. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. DO NOT ever book here, you WILL REGRET IT!

We loved staying here. The rooms felt roomy, the hotel looked recently redone, and there was a good range of useful things on site, including water filters on several floors, a gym, a pool table, and a big lobby lounge. Times Square was an easy 5-7 minute walk, and the subway was about five minutes away. At roughly $170 a night for this spot, it felt like a bargain. I did wish the room had tea or coffee and could have been a bit cleaner, but those were small issues beside everything else.

Dear Sir or Madam, I’m disputing two charges from my recent stay. The $100 deposit taken at check-in still hasn’t been returned, and another $114 was charged to my card on checkout day without an explanation beforehand. I was told there would be a $100 fee because my room had to be changed after a heating problem. The fault was apparent as soon as I entered the room. I hadn’t unpacked or used it before reporting the issue, and the move was needed because of a maintenance problem outside my control. I don’t understand why I should pay for that. I was also told the charge would be $100, not $114, and I never agreed to the higher amount. Please return both the original $100 deposit and the additional $114 charge. If you believe either charge is valid, please explain why clearly. Otherwise, I expect the refunds to be processed promptly. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Best regards,
