The front desk staff were welcoming and there was no 15-minute wait for someone to appear. There’s a small lot on site, around $30-40 a night, and they let us leave the car there on our last day after checkout, which was convenient. Our suite was quite generous for the price and location, and the king bed was clean and comfortable. The HVAC was very weak, though. I could barely feel air from the vents and the room felt stale for the first few hours. The sofa is borderline uncomfortable to sleep on, so don’t count on a good night there. The location felt very safe and accessible for NYC travel.

We felt safe there with our kids, and having lots of restaurants and shops nearby was convenient. The rooms were spacious, with clean linen and extra towels. A few things disappointed me. The water dispenser is in the basement by the gym instead of near the lobby or breakfast area. During our five-day stay they repeated the menu every other day, which was just sad. There’s no washing machine at the hotel.

The location is super convenient, with all kinds of places to eat nearby. It was a good staycation spot, with a restaurant and bar on site and complimentary breakfast in the morning. Our room with a couch was spacious, had a beautiful LIC view, and deliveries to the room came very promptly. Matthew made check-in easy and was friendly and hospitable. I’ll definitely be back. I’m taking stars off because the front desk said they’d resolve an issue with WOH points, but then the GM denied what had already been promised. That was highly unprofessional.

Our four-night family trip was made memorable by Ben, who helped with the reservation, and Andre, who went above and beyond. We felt well cared for from beginning to end. The hotel even surprised our daughter with cake and treats for her birthday, a really thoughtful start to the vacation. The spacious rooms gave everyone room to spread out and relax. Long Island City was quieter than Manhattan but still gave us quick access to the city, a nice balance of calm and convenience. We couldn’t have asked for a better family stay in New York City and will be back.

Getting into Manhattan was quick, with several subway stations close by, and the location is ideal. The rooms were clean and spacious enough, and the facilities were good. Still, having to shower in a bathtub feels dated. Breakfast was a real disappointment. There was no sliced cheese, cold cuts, boiled eggs, cucumbers, or tomatoes. They only provided paper plates and disposable cutlery. In 30 years of staying in hotels, I’ve never had breakfast this sparse. Maybe that’s just normal in the USA.
