My travel agency booked me for a work trip on December 10, 2025, but when I arrived the hotel said my reservation had been canceled because they didn’t have my card on file. A few days later, they charged my card anyway, saying I hadn’t shown up. My travel agency and I both contacted them to get the fee reversed, but we never heard back or got a refund. The staff didn’t seem to know what was going on or what they were doing, and the manager was unavailable on the several calls we made to resolve it. It was unprofessional and unacceptable. I asked my travel agency to remove them from our approved corporate list. It feels like all they do is take people’s money. At the very least, they should refund people for their mistakes and take responsibility, but they don’t seem to care. I wouldn’t recommend this place. You should stay as far away as you can. This place is a shame.

Furmans, a great coffee shop, is nearby, and the room was a decent size for the area and price. The bed was very comfortable, and despite the train tracks, it was quiet at night. We only slept and showered there, so it served our purpose, hence my 3 rating. Still, the halls constantly smelled like weed, and our bathroom reeked of cigarette smoke even though it’s a non-smoking hotel. There was no housekeeping, which we only learned after check-in, and by day three we were drying off with washcloths. The neighborhood seemed like an odd fit for the hotel. There was lots of trash and friendly neighborhood rats.

At least the hotel is close to the metro, and the bed was comfortable with a decently sized bathroom. Towels came up when we asked, though the wait was long, so request them well before you need them. Otherwise, I’d pass. There was no cleaning service, and no soap in the room or delivered after we asked, so we had to buy our own. The breakfast was cereal with a jug of milk left out, which didn’t seem very safe. At check-in, the front desk gave us an aggressive speech about late checkout fees. Common areas smelled despite the non-smoking policy, and the train noise was hard to get used to.

The bedding was clean but still damp, and the rooms are small. On arrival, the front desk staff were outside smoking and playing loud music, but they helped me right away. There was no key card to get into the rooms, though, so I had to wait until they finished checking everyone in and then be escorted to my room. On my last day they brought a key card to the room, but earlier they hadn’t even asked for ID to confirm I should have access. Service was horrible. There’s no parking, and the area felt sketchy. Don’t go alone at any time of day, trust me. I’d never return, even for free nights. Go at your own risk. You’ve been warned.

The room had no trash can, drawer handles were missing, and neither the phone nor TV remote worked. Worse, the bathroom smelled of cigarettes even though I’d requested a non-smoking room, and the outside hallway reeked of weed. Thin walls let loud guests keep me up from 11 p.m. until 4 a.m. You get what you pay for, but this was the worst La Quinta I’ve stayed in. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere better. The location is terrible, and whatever you might save isn’t worth it.
