Liberty View Brooklyn hotel

The room was small, with nowhere near enough space for clothes, and the view was genuinely nice. The hotel is in a relatively quiet area, about 40 minutes from the city center. The rooms were clean, but the breakfast was a huge disappointment. Don't buy it. It was exactly the same every day, and almost everything tasted overly sweet, even the bacon and eggs. Most choices were unhealthy and heavily fried, with greasy potatoes and fatty hamburger meat. The only vegetables were the same frozen mix each morning, with sugar or syrup again. There were no fresh vegetables, a proper choice of ham or cheese, or healthier bread. Breakfast should be something you can look forward to, or at least eat comfortably. This was repetitive, heavy, and hard to enjoy. For a hotel of this standard, I expected better quality and variety, and some healthier options.

The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, while the rooms themselves were clean and functional but a bit compact. Breakfast was basic, though better than I expected for NYC. With two subway stations nearby, it was easy to get around. The staff were genuinely helpful. Special thanks to Shaik Sideeq for going out of his way to accommodate our requests. A comfortable stay and good value.

The most unsettling part of our stay was an evening interruption: while we were resting, someone opened our door and we came face-to-face with another guest. He'd apparently mixed up the rooms, but his key card opened our door. Reception apologized and called it a mistake, yet I found it strange and concerning. It could have happened while we were out, or under different circumstances. Because of this, I can't rate the hotel as highly as I otherwise might. The rooms were clean and comfortably sized for the price, and the bathroom was especially roomy. There was a hair dryer, iron, and ironing board. The hotel is also close to the metro. Breakfast was limited, typical American style, and felt insufficient for the international guests. If you don't eat eggs or pork, fruit was basically your only option. It could still be a reasonable choice, but that breakfast and the security incident were disappointing.

The room was nice but small, and the gym was spacious and nice for a motel. Late at night, the front desk asked me to leave the cafe and lobby, even though I was working quietly by myself. Management emailed an apology and offered a discount on a future stay.
