LIC Manhattan View Hotel

Madison made getting settled so easy. We arrived at 10am on New Year’s Eve, and she explained that we could leave our bags in the office, go explore downtown, then call later to ask about an early check-in. She got us into the room a little after 1pm, well before the usual 3pm time. Our balcony looked toward Manhattan, so we could watch fireworks all over the city at midnight. The room was clean and roomy enough, though much too warm for us even after we turned down the thermostat. Since we were on the 14th floor, maybe the heat rising was part of it. We wound up sleeping with the balcony door open. The pillows were comfortable. The mattress was harder than I like, and I could feel some pressure from its coils, but it wasn’t terrible.

I had a great stay and would come back. The hotel was clean and very quiet, with friendly, helpful staff. My bed was comfortable and I slept really well. The LIC views were amazing, and the location made getting around easy: the N and W stop at Dutch Kills /39th Ave is just two blocks away.

The view from the Bronx suite was incredible, and I really liked the street view from the dining area too. They offered guests hot coffee and tea, and I enjoyed using the gym downstairs. Saad was the best. We’d spoken with him by phone, and his help made us decide to book here. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner. I hope we can make some content to show how beautiful this hotel is. Thanks again, Saad, and thanks to everyone for the hospitality. I hope to stay in the Manhattan suite on our next trip to NY.

The staff were attentive and accommodating, and the price felt like very good value. Getting to Manhattan’s 5th Avenue takes about 15-20 minutes by subway, so the location was convenient.
