Metro Motel

The room was bad, with bed bugs and roaches, and the hallways always had some kind of bad smell.

The room was filthy: stains all over the walls, a broken nightstand, and carpet that looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a month. Charging more than $20 a night for this is ridiculous. At the front desk, the man was extremely rude. He couldn’t find my reservation at first, then stopped helping me to take a personal call. I was also charged extra “taxes,” even though the website had included taxes when I booked. Never again. This place should be shut down.

The security here is very poor. When I reported a suspicious person, staff didn’t want to act. He’s apparently a regular hotel guest, but I still think everyone deserves as much attention as possible. I used to be a member of the state agents body and defended myself. I’d tell others to avoid this place too, and I won’t return because the service was so unpleasant. There was no internet or hot water, and even the window wouldn’t open. I’d like my money back. Otherwise, I’d complain to the city, since this place doesn’t follow state standards. This is the Metro Hotel at 73-00 Queens Blvd, Woodside, NY 11377.

The only real plus is parking. The guy at the front desk charges whatever he wants, and there’s a better motel a mile west across the street. You could pay $30 more and get a whole night at a Hilton. The room “smells like teen spirit.” The mattresses are cheap, the walls and pillows are paper thin, and the place is sub-par even for a four-hour stay. I checked for bed bugs. The mattress is wrapped in plastic, which must be lovely in summer. I’d say more, but Google wouldn’t like it. Mostly f-words.
