Moxy NYC Downtown

Wall Street is just a short walk away, and there are plenty of eateries nearby. The closest tube station is two minutes away, with easy access to central Manhattan. The hotel has a fun atmosphere, clean rooms, and a bar making well-prepared drinks. Breakfast was good too. A special mention for Robert at concierge, who was very kind and welcoming.

Rooms were smaller than I expected, but clean, modern, and cleverly laid out. The energetic, social feel and lively common areas and bar suit younger travelers, and the friendly service made check-in easy, though service options felt more limited than at a traditional hotel. For downtown NYC, the location is the real draw. Transit and attractions are easy to reach, and it’s walkable to so much. I thought it was good value for the area and would stay again if location matters more to you than room size.

Chris was lovely. He sang Happy Birthday, gave us drink tokens for the bar, and helped make the surprise my boyfriend had planned work out, including flowers and champagne in the room. The staff were very accommodating, and it was a great experience. The subway is easy to get to, though there’s construction around the location.

The downtown location is fantastic, with buses and subway connections, plenty of good restaurants nearby, and a ferry stop about a 14 mins walk away for exploring brooklyn or long Island. It’s just $4, and I highly recommend the ride from brooklyn back to wall street around sunset. I had a great stay and would definitely return. The staff were attentive, the room was clean, and the bathroom was nice. On the 13th floor, the view for what I paid was mostly buildings, but it wasn’t bad, certainly no back alley. I was lucky to end up above the 20th floor too, where the bridge and river views were breathtaking. The lounge with its restaurant and bar was great, and there’s a good gym. They kindly held my luggage before check-in and after checkout so I could go explore. My only small note is that there was no hand wash in the bathroom, though body wash and shampoo were provided.
