I left after about 25 minutes and never went back. The room didn’t look like the website photos, and upstairs I heard a woman yelling at a crying baby to “SHUT UP!” and spanking the child. The baby was still crying when I left. I was so disturbed by what I heard that I couldn’t stay, so I left the keys on the bed and walked out. When I arrived at the “bed & breakfast,” the owner charged the rest of the deposit to my card. She had me enter the daycare where she was working, with children present, to do it. I asked if she would be around if I needed anything, and she said her kids lived above my room and could help. There was no sign on the room to say whether it was a “single room,” so I had to guess. It was a horrible experience. I’d hoped to get a break from my 4 month old and spend some time with my best friend, who was visiting from Seattle, and instead walked into a nightmare. I hope the booking agency returns my money since I was there for only 25 minutes. I don’t recommend this place at all. Go with a hotel.

The person who let me in was friendly, but I wouldn’t recommend Oyo until they clean up their act. The place was dirty, including my filthy room, and the stairs and rooms badly needed vacuuming. The air conditioner wouldn’t let the window close, so I had street noise and cold air all night and barely slept. In the so-called breakfast room, all I could see was stale bread and not much else.

The rooms are cozy and neat, the bathrooms are clean, and the service is great. It’s in a trendy but laid-back area with lots of food and drink options. Several bus routes and four different train lines are nearby.

For the price, the rooms were reasonable, and several subway lines made the place easy to reach. I’d probably stay here again if I needed a cheap place in the city.

The location wasn’t good, but the service and experience were very good. It was cozy, though small, with a nice bed and a good shower despite the shared bathroom.
