Ramada by Wyndham Bronx Terminal

We booked at the last minute and ended up really enjoying our getaway from the kids. Kim at the front desk upgraded us to a room with a jacuzzi, which was amazing since we'd wanted a place with a pool but didn't have bathing suits. We'll book again.

My family and I came to town for my Father’s funeral and booked two rooms for one night. I asked for two non-smoking rooms, but they could only give us one. The night manager was rude when I paid and asked for a receipt. He dismissed me and shooed me away, saying I'd get it in the morning. The customer service was disgusting, and the place was filthy. It was overpriced for a one-night city stay, though the location was convenient. We won't be back. Our room was freezing, with no heat or extra blankets. I tried calling the front desk, but the disconnected phone didn't work. Housekeeping hadn't cleaned it before we arrived: a used mask with red hair looped around it was on the nightstand beside the phone, and a used washcloth hung on the towel rack. The bathroom sink was clogged, and the window curtain was off track. When we went out for dinner, someone had spilled orange soda in the elevator. The night manager saw it, stepped over it, and rode to another floor. When we came back, the spill was still there. In the smoking room (#404), my brother and cousin found roaches in the sink and tub. In our room (#105), the bed nearest the window wasn't anchored properly. My sister sat on its edge to untie her shoes, and the head of the bed flipped up and knocked her to the floor. It happened to me too.

The room was clean and well maintained, and the service was fast and good. The lobby and the area outside the door had a bunch of flies. Maybe they were just trying to cool off on such a hot day. I liked that there was a parking lot, which makes this location a dime a dozen, but I would've liked it to be bigger. I believe it fits about 10 cars, and I'm sure they have like 4x the rooms. It's four floors. A good stay overall, and I'd do it again. 👍🏽

The location worked pretty well. There’s a carnival out front, but it closed by the time I went to bed around 10. Bronx Central Market is nearby too, with food and shopping. The room was tighter than I expected, especially the bed beside the bathroom. After showering, I had to squeeze between the bed and wall to get through. The service suited me since I prefer being left alone, and they did clean the room. The big problem was the heavy smoke smell everywhere. I ended up buying candles, air freshener, and odor absorber at Target.
