The rooms were okay, but the shower caulking had what looked like mold growing on it. The bathroom handle was too small for the hole it sat in, and the door would stay open only if the shower door held it. There wasn't a seal around the room door, so hallway light and sound came through. There was no parking. After a drive of more than five hours, we waited over ten minutes in the lobby with our two dogs because the front attendant had put up a sign saying he'd be back in a few minutes. We could see on camera that he was sitting in the break room on his phone. That felt very unprofessional. At check-in they asked us to pay cash for the dogs, which was unusual compared with other Red Roof locations. Fortunately I had cash. The next morning I went to the desk with a question and found the attendant asleep in a chair. I figured I'd ask when I left an hour later, but he'd gone and left another “back shortly” sign.

We chose this place because it welcomes dogs and has tile floors and walls in the hallways. The room was comfortable enough. The breakfast buffet was nearly empty, and what was left didn't seem very fresh, so I went with packaged oatmeal and yogurt instead.

The rooms were compact but clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was decent. The neighborhood seemed okay, and the MTA station is only five blocks away. Hot water took over five minutes to reach the shower, and we could hear highway traffic across the street, though that's to be expected in NYC. Thanks for making our stopover work out well.

We stayed during Christmas and found it affordable. The walk to the subway took about 10 minutes, along a safe route with plenty of traffic. Our room was clean, fresh, and well looked after, with a comfortable bed and pillows. Soap, shampoo-conditioner, and lotion were provided. Even though the hotel is near a main avenue, street noise wasn't an issue. The room walls were thin, though, and I could hear the neighbor complaining. Breakfast was good, complete, and balanced. Wi-Fi worked well, and the employees were attentive and helpful.

The only courteous people I dealt with were the cleaning woman and a young man at reception, who was there when I arrived in the early morning of January 1, 2026. My experience with the manager was the opposite. When I finally spoke with them, they were rude, arrogant, and shouted at me. They seemed completely unprepared and unable to deal with guests. It was a shameful way for a manager to act. I hated the stay and won't return or recommend the hotel. The service was terrible, management was disorganized, and I felt the guest was treated with no respect. My flight was cancelled in a heavy snowstorm, so I messaged the hotel to explain I couldn't check in on December 26, the reservation date. I got no reply and could only check in on the 27th. I then tried to sort it out through Hotels.com. They said they'd contacted the hotel and resolved the issue, but when I arrived and explained what happened, the hotel said it hadn't heard from the platform. That showed a complete lack of communication and organization. There was also no one at reception when I arrived, and I had to wait a long time for service. That isn't acceptable for a place taking in guests.
