We were in a deluxe double queen room, which felt quite spacious by New York standards. The bathroom was bigger than any we’ve had at other hotels in the city, and the shower pressure was great. Our daughter’s birthday decorations in the room were a lovely touch, too. The Refinery Hotel has a lot of character, from the jazz bar by the front entrance to the restaurant at the back and the rooftop bar, which has a cool atmosphere and a great Empire State Building view. The location is convenient, yet the area felt relatively quiet. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the room exceeded what we expected. We had such a good stay that we’re already looking forward to coming back.

Parker and Quinn has movie-like design and service, and Sunny, the manager at ……, made me feel welcome, like I was coming to a family house for dinner. There are two restaurants in the building, and both have that special feel. The rooftop bar is cozy, with amazing views of the empire state building. The beds were so comfortable, and the staff were kind, delightful, and helpful. The hotel’s beautiful furnishings and decor made it feel like being in the heart of Paris, while still feeling cozy. They treated me like royalty. Stay here!

The free wine hours were a highlight, and the hotel had a great vibe, amazing amenities, and a consistently thoughtful, polished feel. We had an incredible stay at the Refinery Hotel in New York and can’t recommend it enough. Jamilah welcomed us at check-in and made sure everything exceeded expectations. Since we were celebrating a birthday, she went out of her way to make the experience feel personal and elevated. Leaving was just as smooth and fun as arriving. Jamilah and Sebastian were both upbeat and helpful at checkout, and made us feel welcome right through the end of our stay. Thanks for making the celebration feel so special. We can’t wait to come back.

The room had a few odd design choices, like the faucet and hanging mirror. I also rarely saw a doorman or bellman available to help. The location was wonderful, and housekeeping and front desk service were good. The property felt more like a 3 or 4 star hotel.

It’s close to Time Square and convenient for getting around, right in the middle of things but still quiet. We found the hotel through our credit card booking and were glad we chose it. The staff were courteous and accommodating, and Parker and Quinn downstairs had amazing food. We didn’t try the other bars or restaurants connected with the hotel, though I’m sure they’d have been great too. The overall look was nice. I just wanted a fridge in the room for my own things. There was a minibar, but it wasn’t for personal items. I’d recommend the hotel and would definitely visit again.
