Residence Inn by Marriott New York JFK Airport

We had a pleasant one-night stay. The hotel looked newly built or recently renovated, and our clean, spacious room had basic kitchen appliances and a comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and helpful, and all guests get free WiFi and breakfast. There was a decent range of food, including fresh eggs, yogurt, cheeses, hot oatmeal, bacon, and waffles, better than at some other three-star hotels. With free shuttles to and from JFK, it’s a good choice for a night or two near the airport.

I was impressed by the spacious, clean room and its full kitchenette. It had all the comforts I needed and felt more like a small apartment than a hotel room. Breakfast offered plenty of hot and cold choices, and the lobby’s 24/7 mini-market was handy for getting a snack or drink at any hour. The free shuttle from Terminal 4 runs every 15 minutes, making trips to and from JFK easy and stress-free. A fantastic find for the convenience and amenities.

I’ve stayed here several times in recent months and have only good things to say. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the shuttle service from Federal Circle/JFK to the JFK terminals is great. Staff are welcoming and accommodating and value all customers, especially Ambassador Elite guests. Emily deserves a mention for going above and beyond for guests while staying professional and personable.

The area is residential, so there isn’t much within walking distance. There’s an essentials market in the lobby but no restaurant. Fortunately the Hilton next door has one, so I walked over for a quick meal. I was in town for the SUGA AGUST D concert and had booked several hotels to choose from. I’m glad BF encouraged me to keep Residence Inn by Marriott New York JFK Airport after I did some research and checked it out. The room was new, spacious, and clean. My studio had a full kitchen with dinnerware, silverware, pots, a microwave, and an empty fridge. The bathroom had full-size toiletries, so there was no waste from single-use ones. I also liked the free shuttle to and from JFK, the hot breakfast buffet, and the 24/7 fitness center with a water dispenser. The breakfast was so good it got me up early every morning. Staff at the hotel and on the phone were friendly and helpful. When I asked about food and the shuttle, the person on the phone was knowledgeable and reassuring. The front desk got me into a room early and made a point of finding me to let me know. There’s a spacious lobby with tables and comfortable chairs for working or waiting for a rideshare. A bus line runs right outside the hotel on 142nd Street. If I go to another concert at UBS Arena or need to stay near JFK, this would be my first choice.
