We had lunch at the restaurant by the lobby, and the food was delicious. The location also worked perfectly for the activities we'd planned, and the rooftop was amazing at night. I'd booked a two-queen room for my daughter's 10th birthday, but when we arrived the hotel upgraded us to an apartment with the best views. We really enjoyed the hotel, and I'd stay there again when I'm in the city.

For a one-day trip, my stay at the Shelburne ended up being one of the highlights. Gene at the front door and Luiz at the front desk were especially friendly and accommodating, and everyone I spoke with was professional, personable, and kind. The place is centrally located and easy to get around on foot. My room was clean and quiet. I didn't eat at the rooftop restaurant, but it looked really cute and had a varied menu for a good meal and cocktail. Thanks to Gene and Luiz for being so great.
The apartment was warm and peaceful, with a lovely shower and comfortable beds. It was spacious, with a kitchen and lounge, and the view took in the Empire State Building and East River. We couldn't fault the room. We also enjoyed the cocktails at the rooftop bar. My daughter and I were there for four nights for my birthday. When I asked for a room with a view on arrival, we were quickly upgraded. The Midtown location was another plus, about 10 minutes from Grand Central and close to so many places on foot. I'd stay again in a heartbeat. They helped make my birthday special.
Our flight got canceled, and the hotel was very accommodating when we needed to add two nights. Eddie and David were especially helpful, assisting with our luggage, arranging taxis, and suggesting good restaurants. We had a great stay and would definitely come back.
The lounge was a nice place to spend time, and check-in was quick. The location suited our business meetings, with Midtown close by. The elevator is quite small and gets crowded, and the Wi-Fi wasn't very fast. Our 5G hotspots worked better. We paid $550 a night for a one-bedroom suite near Grand Central. It was spacious by NYC standards and reasonably well appointed, though it could use more lighting and some of the furniture is worn. Still, it's good value, and I'd stay again.
