Sonder at Flatiron

I booked a king room but was given a queen instead. I tried several times to find a staff member in person, but no one was available in the lobby, and I was told they were on break. I finally reached someone through the hotel messaging app. They confirmed I’d booked a king, but said none were available and they put me in a queen room instead. Even so, I was charged for the king, and the hotel made no effort to fix the charge or follow up by phone or in person. The lack of service and accountability was so disappointing that I left and stayed at another hotel that night. I don’t recommend this hotel.

Angel, Sophia, Michelly, and Nyib went above and beyond to meet all my needs. Their wonderful service made the stay truly memorable. I had a wonderful time!

Good afternoon, A few weeks ago, we were told that the reservation had been cancelled unilaterally by your side, but we still haven’t received a refund. My wife, Claudia Domínguez, booked at the Hotel Flatiron in New York for 27 November to 1 December 2025. We paid €966 on 25 January 2025. This is a significant amount for us, so we kindly ask for your urgent help handling and resolving the refund. We have attached the payment documentation as proof. We look forward to a prompt response.

The place is extremely well located, and I’d definitely stay again. I’d read mixed reviews, especially about cleanliness and noise, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. My room was a little beat up, but it was very clean and had everything I needed. It felt a lot like an Airbnb in the city, with the added security of a locked hotel lobby and staff. The keypad on the door, elevator, and room worked fine throughout. There was street noise, which you’d expect in New York, but we didn’t need the provided noise machine or earplugs. I’d also seen complaints about the staff, but everyone we met was very pleasant and helpful. They even gave us cookies and bottled water when we arrived.
