For $53 a night, you get little cubicles packed side by side, barely wider than the bed, plus one outlet and a tiny spot for your things. The ceiling is open above you, so you hear everybody around you. The sheet had a huge grease stain that made part of it translucent, and I slept on the clean half to avoid it. Construction outside kept me from sleeping well, and the AC vent right above the bed blew cold air straight onto me. I quickly learned to sleep in all my street clothes to avoid getting dangerously cold. After that rough night, I went to the shared restroom down the hall and saw four or five cockroaches running around without any fear of people. There were more on the shower handle, which I had to shoo away before I could use it. The shower only ran cold, so I had to make it quick. Definitely bring slippers. Is all that stress and lost sleep worth staying at this "hotel"? For a serious tourist, probably not. But staying at Sun Bright does leave you with a uniquely traumatic shared experience that only others who've been there will understand.

The walls were so thin we could hear people whispering next door. Our room was roughly 2 by 2, had no window, and barely fit our luggage. We visited in 2015 on a student budget, just needing somewhere to sleep after sightseeing, but the price was high for a hostel with practically no standards. The air conditioning ran constantly and made the room freezing. When I asked if it could be turned down, I was told no. I don't know whether the place is still open. For everyone's sake, I hope it isn't.

The room was basically a bed with just a little space around it, and the stay was uncomfortable for my family. I didn't spend any nights there. I asked for a refund, but since I'd used the room for two days, I understood why they said no, even though I hadn't slept there. I did check out a day early, though, and got no credit for that unused day. Staff said my checkout was an hour late and insisted on charging the full day, even though the room hadn't been touched and didn't need cleaning. The front desk wouldn't meet me halfway when I tried to compromise. They just said I'd paid for three days, so I owed for all three. The description also mentioned things the place didn't have, as far as I could tell: no air conditioning beyond a weak fan, and no TV. I don't know who wrote it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the description was just a lie.

The rooms felt confining, and rats scratching in the walls made sleeping even harder. Stains on the walls looked like sewage had seeped through over ages. There were cockroaches everywhere, enough to seem like a small army. They even got into my food before I could finish it, and somehow seemed friendlier than the staff. I was told the covers were infested with bedbugs, so on the first night I stayed awake playing Cards against humanity instead. The smell of feces hit me as soon as I entered the room, and the bathrooms looked like something from a zombie movie. When I reported the problems, the desk said there was nothing they could do and I'd have to deal with it. The staff were awful to deal with, though I can see why someone might be fed up working in a place like this. This was the worst hotel I've ever had to stay in. Don't waste your money here, find somewhere pleasant instead.

Our internet reservation, which included my card details as a guarantee, wasn't on file when we got to reception. If I'd known, I would've left right then. The place was dirty and noisy. We saw cockroaches in the lobby and a spider in our bed, and the towels provided were dirty. There are only two bathrooms for 20 bedrooms, and the rooms are separated by partitions instead of proper walls, so you hear the other travelers. I can't recommend this hotel.
