The Hotel @ Times Square

Convenient parking is right across the street for $40 a day if you get the ticket validated by the hotel, a good deal for this area. The location and price are what earn it four stars. Our room and beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The carpeted rooms and hallway had the musty smell you’d expect in a carpeted hotel. The bathroom was dated. Hotels nearby cost three or four times as much, so keep expectations in check. The lobby hot drink machine is handy. I’ll definitely be back.

We were close to Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, and the Broadway shows, with lots to do on foot and easy subway access. For the price, the location is hard to beat. The staff were polite and helpful, and our room was exceptionally clean. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. I also liked the old details that remain, especially the mail chute and the characterful stair rail. I’d definitely recommend it.

The location is ideal, just a few blocks from Times Square, and we’d gladly recommend the hotel to family and friends. I’d read plenty of reviews and was a little unsure what a family stay would be like, but we had a great five nights. It’s an older hotel, though very clean, and the staff were super friendly. Whenever we called for extra towels, blankets, or trash bags, they arrived within five minutes. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The building has a classic old New York feel, and I especially liked the old-fashioned mail chutes running between floors. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel was clean and felt safe. The front desk staff were polite and helpful. It’s a great find for the price, on a quieter-than-usual New York street and close to everything we wanted to visit. I’ll probably stay here again next time.
