The Kimberly Hotel

Our rooms, especially the suites, had lovely decor and plenty of space. The cleaning team worked around our irregular schedule and still cleaned our room thoroughly every day. What really made the stay was the staff. Everyone we met was helpful and caring, and we felt like the only guests there. Arian and Denise in the upstairs Lounge were especially efficient and accommodating at breakfast. I highly recommend the hotel, and its location is a bonus. We’ll definitely return.

I was impressed by the reasonable pricing for the quality and location, as well as how clean and well maintained The Kimberly Hotel was. I came to New York for a family matter, which was a stressful time, and manager Hooman and the rest of the staff made my stay comfortable. Hooman was professional, kind, and attentive. I’d absolutely stay here again if I return to New York. Five stars without hesitation.

The Kimberly Hotel was an awesome base for seeing the Rockefeller Plaza tree and the Today Show, both things my wife has loved for years. We could walk up 50th and be there in minutes. The number 6 Subway was around the corner too, making the rest of New York easy to reach. We’ll come back in two years since we still have a few things on our to-do list. We’re from Kentucky and don’t spend much time in big cities, so before our first New York trip we worried about the people, the hotel, and getting around. There was no need. Alvin helped us from our first reservation contact, and the staff treated us with so much kindness. Our doorman Harry was a favorite, especially his stories. Miri and his restaurants and bars were wonderful too. I even got to share bourbon stories over my first “Manhattan” in Manhattan, looking out at the city from the “Upstairs”. Thanks to all the staff and management. Even our last-day Uber pickup came with hugs.

The bell staff outside were unbelievably friendly and attentive, five stars for them. They made the place feel like a movie, and it’s family friendly. We liked the cute, boutique-style room designs and found the location convenient, with plenty nearby and several attractions a manageable walk or drive away. There were some bugs in the kitchen, and the night staff weren’t very helpful. The morning staff quickly made up for it and offered an accommodation. We got a few judgmental looks from the top-floor bar staff because we weren’t dressed like everyone else, but oh well. Booking through Expedia saved us a ton, so the rooms felt like good value.
