The Michelangelo New York

We stayed two nights in February 2026 and were upgraded to a junior suite. The room was comfortable and had lots of amenities. Once we worked out the thermostat, we got it to a comfortable temperature. Staff were professional, helpful, and friendly throughout, and let us leave our bags before the room was ready. Some parts of the hotel feel worn: most of our drawers and cupboards had loose hinges or didn’t sit right. That was visual and functional, but didn’t affect how comfortable the stay was. We loved it and would return.

Kendric made my staycation such a great experience. He was welcoming, professional, and attentive from check-in through checkout, patiently answering my questions and making sure I had what I needed. He clearly takes pride in his work, and his kindness made me feel valued. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location was convenient too, with Stardust Diner, Applebee’s, McDonald’s, and a deli nearby. I’ll definitely be back. Kendric’s hospitality deserves recognition.

Breakfast was phenomenal, and the hotel is right in the middle of everything, close to Central Park and affordable. I drove to NY to pick up my cat, but he got lost. Elizabeth at the front desk was patient and helpful through the night, even though it was past midnight and I was inconveniencing the whole floor. Leslie, the security manager, and the rest of the staff also helped look for him. I’m beyond grateful. I’ll come back!

The rooms were spacious, clean, and really nice, though they could use more natural light. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable, in an excellent location. But even after a warm check-in, reception seemed less attentive later, and it often felt like our questions were a bother. Nobody offered to help with our luggage at checkout either. The service fell short of what we expected, so I wouldn’t stay again.
