The Muse New York

We chose an upgrade and wound up in a huge King suite. It was spotless, with a beautiful bathroom, double sinks, and a big shower. The coffee was delicious too. Check-in was quick, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was convenient, an easy walk from Penn and a quick trip to Broadway and Times Square. I’d recommend staying here.

Daniel at the front desk sorted out our room after we weren’t happy with the one we’d been assigned. He handled it professionally and moved us to a more comfortable room. He also gave us complimentary drinks for our birthdays, which we really appreciated. Eduardo at the bar was kind, welcoming, attentive, and made excellent drinks. I’d rate his service 10/10. The hotel staff overall were friendly, accommodating, and professional, and the location near Times Square was excellent. We also had a beautiful view during our short getaway at The Muse Hotel. The room we received at first didn’t match the one we paid for, and a bathroom light wasn’t working. For the price, it was disappointing that there was no bottled water. The door key gave us trouble almost every time we went out, which got annoying. The service and location were strong, but the room experience didn’t fully deliver the value we expected.

The location at The Muse New York is fantastic, and the staff were polite and friendly. The room size was decent. That’s about where the positives end. At $350 a night for each of two rooms, I expected basics like drinking water. Instead, there was an empty jug in the room, so getting water meant hunting for it on another floor. Shower cleanliness was optional too: hairs were stuck to the wall, and they stayed there for three days despite several requests to clean them. The AC clanked on and off unpredictably, like a tractor, and made it hard to sleep. Breakfast was a croissant and coffee at a price where you could get a decent meal elsewhere. Calling it breakfast feels generous. Great location, but the rest felt like premium pricing for poor execution. Not recommended unless you enjoy paying extra for inconvenience.

Barbara at the front desk and concierge deserves special thanks. She was patient and welcoming through all our questions, helped with last-minute details, and left a thoughtful welcome letter wishing my daughter Mimi a happy 18th birthday. The team went above and beyond to make the occasion special. I’ve built a career in travel and hospitality, and I truly appreciate service like hers. I hope management sees this and gives Barbara the recognition she deserves. 💛
