The Rockaway Hotel

Greg at the front desk made this stay unforgettable. He went far beyond what you'd expect, making us feel cared for and special in a way that was personal and sincere, never scripted. We're here celebrating my friend Mackenzie's birthday, and it felt like the Rockaway Hotel was celebrating with us. Every staff member we met was warm and attentive, and Margie's, the attached restaurant, matched the rest of the experience: the food, atmosphere, and service were all incredible. We also loved the spa, heated pool, and winter room. Greg's kindness turned the birthday trip into a core memory. Thank you to the whole team, and especially Greg, for making Mackenzie's birthday so memorable. If you're thinking of staying here, you'll be in good hands, and if Greg's working when you arrive, you're lucky.

The rooftop views and the burger place across the street were among my favorite little touches, along with the quirky gift shop and a vending machine stocked with books and sunscreen. We also loved the winter pool and spa setup. After brunch at Margie's, I stopped by to see the lobby, spotted the pool and spa, and booked a midweek getaway. The service was excellent, Claudette's coffee shop and the restaurant were great, and the car service came in clutch when it poured the next morning. Darren, the GM, checked on us throughout our stay. I loved this place and plan to make a winter getaway here an annual thing.

The only small snag was the room temperature, and when I contacted the front desk they responded quickly and fixed it right away. The hotel's wellness and relaxation amenities were great, and it's in a perfect location with lovely views. Staff showed real care for my needs from arrival through checkout. I checked in around 11 p.m. and asked to see the breakfast menu. Even at that late hour, a staff member went all the way to the restaurant to fetch a copy. I was impressed by that dedication. Their attention made me feel valued as a guest. It's rare to get service this thoughtful nowadays, and I really appreciate it. Beautiful place, amazing staff, highly recommend!

Our guests had nothing but good things to say about their rooms and stays, and the two-bedroom bungalow we booked for the bridesmaids to get ready in was incredible. My husband and I stayed there that night too, a perfect place to start and end our wedding day. The Rockaway Hotel was the best venue we could have chosen, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. Erika, our planner, was organized and attentive, making the planning process feel easy. Jason, our maître d’, made sure everyone was happy and comfortable and the day ran perfectly. Margo was wonderful to work with on our room block and accommodations, and was always available for questions and requests. We're so grateful to the whole team for the service, food, and attention to detail. We'd highly recommend it to any couple looking for an unforgettable wedding venue.
